Le Crete Senesi are one of the most evocative places in Tuscany and represent a true treasure chest of naturalistic and artistic beauties. You can also visit the Abbey of Sant'Antimo, also known as "the gem of Tuscan Romanesque": the structure seems to rise from an expanse of cypresses and olive trees. The hypotheses on its origin are still obscure, although there is a document that would date it back to before the year 1000.
Finally, while reaching these points of attraction, you can enjoy the majestic and characteristic landscape of the strada bianca which starts from Buonconvento and reels off their splendid undulating landscapes. The view is truly unique and spectacular and embraces the rounded tower of Sant'Ansano, the towers of Montalcino and Siena.
